The District Manager leads the district toward achieving revenue and profitability goals, growth objectives, market share penetration, operational excellence and employee satisfaction. The District Manager's responsibility is directing the establishment of goals and objectives for each branch, and for overseeing and providing feedback on the Branch Managers' implementation strategies and results. In addition, this role will act as liaison to corporate headquarters to implement policies and strategic initiatives. Additional Duties will include: * In conjunction with Regional VP, establish financial goals for all branches in district. * Direct the planning and implementation of budgets at the branch level, providing guidance and input to Branch Managers. Prepare and monitor periodic forecasts. * Coordinate and oversee broad district sales efforts and business initiatives, providing coaching and guidance to branch management and Sales Reps. * Partner with region finance team including Region Finance Director, Region Fleet Director, and Analysts to evaluate and interpret results in all KPI areas. Develop recommendations for corrective actions. * Monitor branch performance using available tools such as Cognos and provide feedback to Branch Managers on a timely basis to address issues in any of the KPIs. * Collaborate with Region Fleet Director to improve fleet optimization, participating/providing input on auctions, trade packages, etc. * Collaborate with Branch Managers, Regional Sales & Mktg Director to evaluate market trends, key accounts/customers, business conditions and competitive practices. * Recommend, within the context of standard procedure, additions and modifications to product lines. * Conduct and present at MORs on various key metrics relative to financial performance and operational excellence. Operational Excellence: * Schedule regular branch visits to assess store operations and to promote communication and employee satisfaction. * Schedule Sales Rep ride-alongs to assess Sales Rep effectiveness and to provide coaching. * Collaborate with the Region Safety Manager to ensure the support of prescribed safety programs, including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, and DOT regulations. * In partnership with HR Director, ensure employees have awareness and access to resources and programs that foster employee excellence in all facets of HR. * Ensure quality customer service in all branch activities. * Assist in the effective operation of all new (assimilated) branch offices. Ensure they are up to all Company-wide standards and practices. * Ensure business operations are in accordance with Policy Procedure Bulletins and SOX compliance requirements. * Ensure the safeguarding of company assets.

Bachelor's degree is required. To be qualified, the ideal candidate will have 7-10 years progressive management experience with oversight of multiple units with P&L responsibilities. A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience and significant sales and customer service success is a must. Knowledge and experience in the equipment rental industry is a plus. Proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate will have effective leadership, motivational, organizational and communication skills. We also look for candidates who are independent and possess strong teamwork and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and organize time.
