Safety is always a #1 priority to United Rentals, but rather than mandating safety, we have changed into a Culture of Safety where employees look out for one another. Stretching, morning huddles and monthly safety meetings always educate teammates on a wide variety of topics. Our culture is something very many United Rental employees live by – they even take this culture home with them and share it with their families.

We’ve built a no-compromise approach to safe behavior. We have an award-winning safety program and are the industry leader in safety. We meet or exceed all local, state, national and Provincial laws and are continually looking for more effective ways to ensure safe operations.

Committed to our communities

We build stronger communities by being among the first to respond to natural disasters and working diligently to ensure optimal emergency preparedness, as well as through countless construction, improvement and beautification projects across the U.S. and Canada.

We protect the environment through our policies. From our systematic efforts to reduce engine idling, to the partnerships we have forged with vendors who recycle or reuse our IT equipment and used oil, we maintain our position as a responsible company. We have metrics in place to monitor our progress on our energy consumption, GHG emissions and materials recycled. Please see our Corporate Responsibility Report to learn more.

We support families in need through Turns for Troops, Soldier Strong and other incredible organizations like Fisher House. We also support our own family through a 501(c)(3) Compassion Fund that is funded by employees for the benefit of United Rentals employees in need.
